I feel like I'm getting lots of stuff done lately ... a good feeling. Here's another mini quilt, art quilt, wall hanging or even table topper. I'm still in my dark blue phase. The center of this one (I'm calling it a trellis) was created with the same method used to make the lizard quilt from a few weeks ago (previous post). In this case though, rather than all 1.5 inch squares placed on fusible, it was created with square and rectangle pieces placed on the fusible in a trellis-like design. Once fused to the fusible, it is stitched along the cut lines of the fabric pieces. The center of the quilt (the trellis) was quilted in the QAYG method (Quilt As You Go) with a walking foot following the diagonal lines of the trellis. The border was then added and free motion quilted in a simple and unique pattern. The back has corner pockets so it's ready to hang. Soon to be for sale on Etsy at www.etsy.com/shop/SimplyHandmadeinNC. Thanks!
